Alpine (English spelling)

...Only two species in Honshu and three in Hokkaido are found in areas that are restricted to true alpine regions. In English, the word "alpine" refers to the alpine butterflies. There are nine alpine butterflies in Honshu: the spider pine butterfly (illustration), the mountain white butterfly, the mountain eruption, the large silver butterfly, the small white butterfly, the alpine skipper, the red nebula, the spider red nebula, and the alpine nebula (illustration).
