〘Noun〙 In ancient times, a household belonged to a post station in each province. They provided postmasters , raised the post horses, maintained the horse equipment, and cultivated the post fields. They were exempt from hard labor. Horse stables. ※Ryo Gikai ( 718) - Stable ranches: "Generally, each post had two heads, one for each person. The households within the two posts were responsible for the wealth of the people in charge."
