Bulgarian revolutionary. Although he was a deacon, he was influenced by the revolutionary ideas of Rakovski and joined his secret organization. After Rakovski's death, he organized the Bulgarian Revolutionary Central Committee in Bucharest with Karabelov (1870) and prepared an armed uprising of the people to liberate Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire. He established revolutionary committees in various places, incited the people, and prepared for the uprising, but in 1872 he was arrested and executed by the Turkish government. [Imai Junko]

ブルガリアの革命家。助祭であったが，ラコフスキの革命思想の影響を受け，彼の秘密組織に参加。ラコフスキ死後，カラベロフとともにブカレストでブルガリア革命中央委員会を組織し(1870)，オスマン帝国からのブルガリア解放のために民衆の武装蜂起を準備する。各地に革命委員会をつくり民衆の間で扇動工作を行い，蜂起の準備を進めていたが，1872年トルコ政府に逮捕され，処刑された。【今井淳子】
