Born: June 6, 1856 in Paris
[Died] June 24, 1920. Paris. French actress. Real name Gabrielle-Charlotte Réju. After graduating from the Conservatoire, she made her debut at the Vaudeville Theatre in 1874, where she married the theatre's owner, Porel. She premiered many plays by naturalist writers such as E. Brueck, H. Bataille, and H. Bernstein. She also starred in commercial theater, leaving behind famous plays such as V. Sardou's Madame Saint-Jean (1893), and appeared in films. Later she also became active as a theatre owner.

フランスの女優。本名 Gabrielle -Charlotte Réju。コンセルバトアールを経て,1874年ボードビル座で初舞台を踏み,その劇場主ポレルと結婚。 E.ブリュー,H.バタイユ,H.ベルンスタンら自然主義作家の戯曲の多くを初演した。また自身も商業演劇の花形として,V.サルドゥの『マダム・サン=ジェーヌ』 (1893) などの名舞台を残し,映画にも出演。のち劇場主としても活躍した。
