Folk song - Ryo

Japanese: 里謡∥俚謡 - りよう
Folk song - Ryo
One of the old names for Japanese folk songs. Sato means village, and ri means vulgar or rustic, and is synonymous with local songs and folk songs (customs and manners). Around the 1880s, folk songs began to be used as a translation of the English word folk song, and they came to be included in the term folk songs. Minyo (Mizumi Haruo)
