Cradle - Cradle

Japanese:
Cradle - Cradle
Also called "yoran." In the olden days, there was a type of cradle in which a burlap sack was hung from the ceiling and an infant was laid in it. Baskets or boards with holes in the seat were also used instead of burlap sacks. However, most were wooden box- or basket-shaped, and in the Middle Ages, the two basic types seen today appeared. One was a box- or basket-shaped cradle suspended between two pillars supported by a pedestal, and the other was a type in which a rocker like the ones found on the legs of an easy chair was attached to the legs of the cradle.
