Yunotai [Hot spring] - Yunotai

Japanese: 湯ノ岱[温泉] - ゆのたい

This hot spring is located in Ogatsu Town, Ogatsu District, in the southern part of Akita Prefecture. It is a pure saline spring, 65-75°C. It is one of the hot springs in the Akinomiya hot spring resort area along the Yakunai River, a tributary of the Omono River, and is located at the entrance to the hot spring resort. During the Edo period, it was a feudal domain-approved resort. It is known for the large number of people who come for long-term treatment, and there is an inn where you can cook your own meals. It is one of the bases for climbing Mt. Kurikoma, and the Yunotai Ski Resort is nearby. There is a bus service from Yokobori Station on the Ou Main Line. [Sakakibara Takashi]

秋田県南部，雄勝郡雄勝町にある温泉。純食塩泉，65～75℃。雄物川支流の役内（やくない）川渓流に沿う秋ノ宮温泉郷の一つで，温泉郷の入口に位置する。江戸時代には藩公認の休養地とされていた。長期療養の湯治客が多いことで知られ，自炊のできる宿がある。栗駒山への登山基地の一つであり，付近には湯ノ岱スキー場もある。奥羽本線横堀駅からバスが通じる。【榊原貴士】
