Hot Springs Resort - Yunosho

A manor located in Futakata County, Tajima Province. Its manor area included the hot spring area of Onsen Town, Hyogo Prefecture (now Shin-Onsen Town). In ancient times, it was a hot spring resort mentioned in the Wamyōshō. According to the 1165 Tajima Kokushichō Proclamation and the Draft Ajari Seiken Donation Letter (Kozan-ji Documents), Seiken donated Kimura from Takeda-dera Temple within the village to Emperor Goshirakawa's Rengeō-in Temple (now Sanjusangendo, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City), and secured the position of lord on the condition that he pay 100 koku of rice per year. It is believed that the entire hot spring resort area under the kokugaryo became a manor at this time. The following year, there was a dispute with Isō-go over the manor area, and in 1174 there was also a dispute with Hatta-sho, but Seiken won the case. According to the Ota-bumi (Ota Document) of 1278, Rengeoin had 74 cho 6 tan of Onsensho (hot spring manor) and 63 cho of Kensaku (fields), its lord was the junior assistant minister of the Ministry of Health, Nyudo, and its land steward was Nara Munemitsu and his younger brother Shoin. Around the Eisho period (1504-1521), the land was divided into several domains and held by the Kitamura clan and others.

但馬国二方(ふたかた)郡にあった荘園。兵庫県温泉町（現・新温泉町）の湯一帯を荘域とする。古代は《和名抄》記載の温泉郷の地。1165年の但馬国司庁宣案および阿闍梨聖顕寄進状案（高山寺文書）によると，聖顕は郷内竹田寺木村を後白河院の蓮華王(れんげおう)院（現京都市東山区三十三間堂）に寄進し，毎年能米100石進納を条件に領家職を確保した。この時国衙領温泉郷全体が荘園化したと考えられる。翌年荘域を巡って射添(いそう)郷と，1174年には八太(はった)荘とも相論があったが勝訴している。1278年の大田文(おおたぶみ)によれば，蓮華王院領温泉荘74町６反余，見作田63町余，領家は民部少輔入道，地頭は奈良宗光と舎弟の正員。永正（1504年−1521年）頃は名(みょう)に分かれ北村氏などが知行していた。
