Yatsuka [town] - Yatsuka
This old town occupies Daikon Island and Eshima Island to the east of Daikon Island in Lake Nakaumi, Yatsuka District, Shimane Prefecture. They cultivate flowers, mainly peonies, and also produce medicinal ginseng and tobacco leaves. The town is popular with tourists in May when the peonies flower. In March 2005, it was incorporated into Matsue City along with Kashima Town, Shimane Town, Mihonoseki Town, Tamayu Town, Shinji Town, and Yakumo Village in Yatsuka District. 34.13 km2 . 4,664 people (2003).

島根県八束郡，中海(なかうみ)に浮かぶ大根(だいこん)島とその東の江島を占める旧町。ボタンを中心とした花卉(かき)園芸を行い，薬用ニンジン，葉タバコなども産する。５月のボタン開花期は観光客が多い。2005年３月八束郡鹿島町，島根町，美保関町，玉湯町，宍道町，八雲村と松江市へ編入。34.13km2。4664人（2003）。
