Japanese: 主油司 - あぶらのつかさ

〘Noun〙 One of the government offices under the ritsuryo system. It was under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Household Ministry. It was in charge of the payment of koyu (oil ) to be paid as an additional tax, or accessory to the tribute ( tribute ) . In September 896 , it was merged into the Tonomozukasa (Lord's Office) . 〘名〙令制における官司の一つ。宮内省(みやのうちのつかさ)の所管。諸国から調(みつぎ)の副物(そわつもの)即ち付加税として上納する膏油(こうゆ)のことをつかさどった。寛平八年（八九六）九月、主殿寮(とのもづかさ)に併合された。しゅゆし。※令義解（833）職員「主油司正一人。〈掌_二諸国調膏油事_一〉」
