Leningrad State University of Technology AAZhdanova (English: Leningrad State University of Technology AAZhdanova)

…University of the Russian Federation. Founded in 1819 in St. Petersburg, during the Soviet era it was called Leningrad University (officially known as AA Zhdanov State Leningrad University (Leningradskii gosudarstvennyi universitet imeni AAZhdanova, or LGU, after 1948), but in 1991 it was reverted to its former name. Since the imperial era, it has contributed to the cultural and social development of Russia as a central institution of Russian culture.
