A small bag for women. It was popular during the Meiji period. There are the Kago Shingen, which has a rectangular basket base and a body with a drawstring, and the Chiyoda bag, which has a round drawstring base. It was so named because it was used to store all kinds of small items such as wallets, towels, paper, and cosmetics.
