A historic American department store. Commonly known as MACY'S. Headquartered in New York. Founded in New York in 1858 by Rowland Hussey Macy. At first it was a store that mainly sold women's accessories, but it grew on the boom of the Civil War and eventually became a full-fledged department store. Today, the department store is made up of five divisions by region: Macy New York (New York City and other areas), Bamberger's (New Jersey and other areas), Macy California (San Francisco Bay Area and other areas), Davison's (Georgia), and Macy Midwest (Kansas and Ohio).

アメリカの歴史ある百貨店。通称MACY’S。本社ニューヨーク。1858年メーシーRowland Hussey Macyによってニューヨークに設立された。最初は婦人アクセサリーを主とした店だったが，南北戦争のブームに乗って成長，やがて本格的な百貨店となった。今日では百貨店は，地域別にメーシー･ニューヨーク(ニューヨーク市ほか)，バンバーガーズ(ニュージャージー州ほか)，メーシー･カリフォルニア(サンフランシスコ湾岸ほか)，ダビソンズ(ジョージア州)，メーシー･ミッドウェスト(カンザス州，オハイオ州)の5事業部から成っている。
