Transmission loss

Transmission loss
This refers to the degree of degradation of the ADSL signal. ADSL has the property that the transmission signal deteriorates more the farther the user's home is from the NTT exchange due to electrical and radio interference in between. On the NTT website, you can measure the telephone line distance and check the actual amount of transmission loss.

ADSL信号の劣化度合いのこと。ADSLはNTTの交換機からユーザー宅の距離が遠いほど、間にある電気や電波障害によって伝送信号が劣化する性質を持っている。NTTのHPでは電話線路距離を測定し、実際にどれぐらいの伝送損失があるか調べられる。
