Oxytetracycline

An antibiotic. It was discovered in 1950 by Finlay et al. in the culture medium of actinomycetes. It has a broad antibacterial spectrum, inhibits the growth of various bacteria, rickettsia, and large viruses, and is widely used in treatment.
