Uno Mikuriya

Mikuriya was established in Matsuura District, Hizen Province (Southern and Northern Matsuura Districts, Nagasaki Prefecture). In the early Heian period, it was established in an area including a wide water surface that extended across Chikuzen, Chikugo, and Hizen, in order to provide tribute to Dazaifu, but in the late Heian period, it was limited to the area of ​​Southern and Northern Matsuura Districts. The place name Mikuriya remains in the current Matsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture. In the Kamakura period, it became a manor and came to be called Uno Mikuriya Sho, and in the 1292 (Shoo 5) "Order for the number of fields controlled for the construction of Kawakami Shrine in Hizen Province" it appears to have "300 cho of land in Uno Mikuriya Sho", and in 1322 (Genko 2), small cattle were presented as annual tax to the Saionji family. After the turbulent period of the Northern and Southern Courts, the function of the manor was lost and it came to remain as a name simply indicating the area.

肥前(ひぜん)国松浦(まつら)郡（長崎県南・北松浦(まつうら)郡）に設定された御厨。平安時代初期には、大宰府(だざいふ)の贄(にえ)貢進のため、筑前(ちくぜん)、筑後(ちくご)、肥前にわたる広い水面を含む地域に設定されていたが、平安時代末期には南・北松浦郡の地域に限定されるようになった。御厨の地名は現在の長崎県松浦市の中に残っている。鎌倉時代になると荘園(しょうえん)化して、宇野御厨庄(しょう)と称されるようになり、1292年（正応5）「肥前国河上宮(かわかみぐう)造営用途支配惣田数(そうでんすう)注文」には、「宇野御厨庄三百丁」とみえ、1322年（元亨2）には、西園寺(さいおんじ)家に年貢として小牛を進上している。南北朝動乱期以後は、荘園としての機能も失われ、単なる地域を示す名称として残存することになった。
