A bay located between the southeastern sides of the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. It connects to the Atlantic Ocean through the Gulf of Maine in the southwest. It is 175 km long (northeast-southwest) and 45-70 km wide. The tidal range is the largest in the world, 6 meters near the mouth of the bay and 15 meters in Cobquitt Bay at the inner bay, and it is known for its fast tidal movements.
