Bay of Fundy

A bay located between the southeastern sides of the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. It connects to the Atlantic Ocean through the Gulf of Maine in the southwest. It is 175 km long (northeast-southwest) and 45-70 km wide. The tidal range is the largest in the world, 6 meters near the mouth of the bay and 15 meters in Cobquitt Bay at the inner bay, and it is known for its fast tidal movements.

カナダ、ニュー・ブランズウィック州とノバ・スコシア州の南東側に挟まれた湾。南西はメーン湾を通って、大西洋につながる。長さ（北東―南西）175キロメートル、幅45～70キロメートル。潮位差が湾口付近で6メートル、湾奥のコブキット湾で15メートルと世界最大で、潮の動きの速いことで知られる。
