It is said that the entire universe is made up of countless 3,000 Great Thousand Worlds. In Buddhism, a vast area including the sun, moon, four continents, four oceans, and six heavens is considered to be one world, with Mount Sumeru as the central axis, and a thousand times this is called the Small Thousand Worlds, a thousand times the Small Thousand Worlds is called the Medium Thousand Worlds, and a thousand times the Medium Thousand Worlds is called the Great Thousand Worlds. The Great Thousand World contains three types of thousand worlds: small, medium, and large, so it is also called the 3,000 Great Worlds.
