Manwen lao-dang (Manwen Lao-tang)

This is a record written in Manchu about the period of Nurhaci (奴子哈瓈) and Hong Taiji (皇大地) in the early Qing dynasty of China. It has 180 volumes and 180 books. The original title was simply "Dianzi in No Circled Dots" or "Dianzi in Circled Dots", written in Manchu, but it became known as "Manwen Laozi" after Torajiro Naito, who discovered it, named it. It is written in 180 books and covers the period from 1607 (Wanli 35) of the Ming dynasty to 1636 (Chunde 1) of the Qing dynasty. It is a valuable record of the history of the early Qing dynasty, as it is a draft of a record of events. However, the Manwen Laodi was compiled around the 40th year of the Qianlong era (1775) from the Manwen Yuandi (Old Manchurian Document), and the whereabouts of the original Manwen Yuandi had been sought, but in 1969 it was facsimile by the National Palace Museum in Taipei under the title Old Manchurian Document. When the two were compared, it was found that the Laodi was a further compilation of the Yuandi with some corrections made, and new facts were emerging, such as the fact that parts missing from the Laodi were actually found in the Yuandi. It has become essential for future research on the Manwen Laodi to compare it with the Yuan Manchurian Document.

中国，清朝初期の太祖ヌルハチ (奴児哈赤)，太宗ホンタイジ (皇太極)時代について満州語で書かれた記録。 180巻 180冊。本来の題名は『無圏点文字の檔子』あるいは『有圏点文字の檔子』と満州語で題されているだけであり，この書物を発見した内藤虎次郎により『満文老檔』と命名されて以来，これが通称となった。明の万暦 35 (1607) 年から清の崇徳1 (36) 年に及ぶ間が 180冊に書かれており，実録の草稿となったその内容は清初史の貴重な記録である。しかし，『満文老檔』は乾隆 40 (1775) 年頃に『満文原檔 (旧満州檔) 』を整理したものであり，そのオリジナルテキストの『満文原檔』の行くえが捜し求められていたが，1969年台北の国立故宮博物院から『旧満州檔』の題名で影印された。両者を対校すると『老檔』は『原檔』をところどころ修正したものをさらに編纂したものであり，また『老檔』で欠けている部分が『原檔』にあるなど新事実が続出し，今後の『満文老檔』の研究には『旧満州檔』との対照が欠くべからざるものとなった。
