Maiolica
In English, it is called majolica. Italian tin-glazed pottery. It was the Italian name for Hispano-Mauresque style pottery imported by Mallorcan merchants at the end of the Middle Ages. Furthermore, this name came to be used to refer to tin-glazed pottery made in Italy in the 14th to 16th centuries using this technique. It is a beautiful product with a strong luster and colorful depictions of figures and patterns.

英語ではマジョリカ。イタリアのスズ釉の陶器。中世末マリョルカ島商人によって輸入されたイスパノ・モレスク様式の陶器をイタリアで呼んだ。さらに，その技法によって14―16世紀にイタリアで作られたスズ釉陶器もこの名で呼ばれるようになった。多彩色で人物や文様を描き，光沢の強い美麗な製品。
