Subjects. Please note that this is different from the Japanese word "course". Each subject usually has a course title and a course number. You can graduate by taking the required courses and elective courses and meeting the required number of credits.

科目。日本語の「コース(課程)」とは意味が違うので注意しましょう。一つひとつの科目には、通常科目名(course title)と科目番号(course number)がつきます。指定された必修科目(required courses)と選択科目(elective courses)を取り、必要な単位数を満たすことで卒業できます。
