A Paleolithic culture in southern India. It is known for its stone tools such as Acheulean-type hand axes and cleavers with double-sided finishes. It was discovered by B. Foote at the end of the 19th century and was later named by O. Mengheen. It was used in contrast to the Soan culture, but now it is no longer used much due to its widespread distribution.
