The main peak of the Tsue Mountains, which lies on the border between Yame City in southern Fukuoka Prefecture and Hita City in western Oita Prefecture. Its elevation is 1,231m. The highest peak in Fukuoka Prefecture is Mt. Gozendake (1,209m), and the triangulation point is located in Hita City. It was formed by dissection of an andesitic lava plateau. The large colony of rhododendrons at the summit is famous. Cedar plantations spread across the mountainside, and it produces a lot of timber. The Fukuoka Prefecture side belongs to Yabegawa Prefectural Natural Park, and the Oita Prefecture side belongs to Tsue Mountains Prefectural Natural Park.

Shakagatake

A mountain on the border between Soeda Town and Toho Village in the eastern part of the Chikushi Mountains in eastern Fukuoka Prefecture. It is 844m above sea level. It was formed by dissection of the Yabakei lava plateau, which erupted during the Neogene Period, and is rich in oddly shaped rocks. It belongs to the Yaba-Hita-Hikosan Quasi-National Park. It is on the transportation route connecting the Onga River basin and the middle reaches of the Chikugo River, and is home to the Shakagatake Tunnel (4378m) on the JR Hitahikosan Line.

Shakagatake

A mountain in the southern part of the Omine Mountain Range in southern Nara Prefecture. It is 1,800 meters above sea level. It is on the border between Totsukawa Village and Shimokitayama Village, and is a key location on the Okugake traverse course of the Omine Shugendo sect from Sanjogatake. There is a cast Shaka Buddha on the summit and Zenonishukubo on the southeastern slope. It belongs to Yoshino-Kumano National Park.

Shakagatake

A mountain in the middle of the Suzuka Mountains on the border between Shiga and Mie prefectures. It has an elevation of 1,092m. The entire mountain is made of granite, with a gentle slope on the west side and a steep slope on the east side, and there is a small flat area on the summit. It belongs to Suzuka Quasi-National Park.

釈迦ヶ岳

福岡県東部,筑紫山地の東部,添田町と東峰村の境界にある山。標高 844m。新第三紀噴出の耶馬渓溶岩台地が開析されて形成された峰で,奇岩に富む。耶馬日田英彦山国定公園に属する。遠賀川流域と筑後川中流域を結ぶ交通路上にあり,JR日田彦山線の釈迦ヶ岳トンネル (4378m) がある。

滋賀・三重県境にある鈴鹿山脈中部の山。標高 1092m。全山花崗岩から成り西側は緩傾斜,東側は急傾斜をなし,頂上にわずかな平坦面がある。鈴鹿国定公園に属する。
