Around 1470 - 1556 A Greek monk and religious thinker active in Russia. His real name was Mikhail Triboris. He studied in Italy and became a Catholic monk under the influence of the Dominican monk Savonarola and others, but converted to Eastern Orthodoxy after returning to Greece. While training on Mount Athos, he was invited by Grand Prince Vasily III of Moscow to go to Moscow in 1518, where he revised the church liturgical books and other works.
