Born on January 23, 1766. A disciple of Ogyū Sorai in his later years. In 1768, he served in the Matsue Domain in Izumo. He worked hard to edit and publish his teacher's posthumous works. He passed away on August 9, 1772, at the age of 67. He was from Kazusa (Chiba Prefecture). His given name was Kei and his pen name was Shiteki. He was commonly known as Keisuke.
