A type of C clef in which the third line of the staff is marked with a dotted C. Today, it is used mainly in viola music. Before the 18th century, it was used for vocal music, trombones, and other instruments. 〘名〙 五線の第三線を一点ハ音とするハ音部記号の一種。今日では主にビオラの楽譜に用いる。一八世紀以前には、声楽、トロンボーンその他にも使用。
