A rakugo performer. (1) The first (?-1893 (Meiji 26)). His real name was Ito Heikichi. He was from Yokkaichi, Ise. He trained under Yoshikawa Takemaru, Takemaru's disciple Sadakichi, and Yoshikawa Tatsumaru, and took his stage name from his foster family's tortoiseshell business. He was known for his beautiful voice and good personality, and specialised in such pieces as "Date Sodo" and "Araki Mataemon". (2) The second (1878-1950, Meiji 11-Showa 25). He was a disciple of the first. He took the name from Yoshinosuke. He later handed over the third name to Yoshiemon and became the first Kakudo. He specialised in "Murai Choan" and "Annaka Soza". 浪曲家。(1)初代(?‐1893(明治26)) 本名伊藤平吉。伊勢四日市の人。吉川竹丸,竹丸の弟子定吉,吉川辰丸などのもとで修業し,養家の家業鼈甲屋にちなんで亭号とした。美声と人品の良さで売り出し,《伊達(だて)騒動》《荒木又右衛門》等を得意とした。(2)2代(1878‐1950∥明治11‐昭和25) 初代門下。吉之助から襲名。のち吉右衛門に3代目を譲って初代鶴堂(かくどう)となった。《村井長庵》《安中草三(あんなかそうざ)》が得意。
