A manor located in Asai County, Omi Province. Currently in the area of Nishiasai Town, Shiga Prefecture (now merged and now Nagahama City). Also called Ushihone Manor. In 881, at the request of Seiwa-in, 28 cho 5 tan of reclaimed land from Oura Manor was donated to Enryaku-ji Temple as Manjusri-ro rent (Sandai Jitsuroku). In 1041, Myoson of Onjo-ji Temple named his residence Enman-in and donated Oura Manor to it. During the Kamakura period, a dispute arose over the border with Sugaura (Sugaura Manor), which was the property of the Enryaku-ji Temple's donors, resulting in a fierce conflict that lasted for about 150 years. The Oura side was unwilling to give in on the ownership of Hisashi and Morokawa, which was a particular point of contention because Sugaura was part of their manor. In 1379, the two areas were included in the Oura manor, and the matter was settled by accepting 20 kanmon annual tax and 10 kanmon lottery money each in spring and autumn from Sugaura. However, in 1445, Oura claimed to have conducted mountain dwellings, and in 1461, a Sugaura member was murdered by someone, leading to a clash, and Oura used force to force Sugaura to submit. By the end of the Kamakura period, the manor was divided into Kamisho and Shimosho, and Kamisho was the territory of Kajii Monzeki and had a kumon (official office) there. Shimosho later became the territory of the Hino family (Uramatsu family), and consisted of 25 names, including Tokisada and Yuri, and the headman had jurisdiction over the eri for the religious ceremonies of Gosho-gu and Hachiman-gu. By the mid-16th century, it came under the control of the Azai clan, and in 1570, followers of the Shinshu sect sent a congratulatory card to celebrate their defeat of Oda Nobunaga's forces at Katata.
