Furuyu [Hot spring] - Furuyu

Japanese: 古湯[温泉] - ふるゆ

This hot spring is located in Fuji-machi, Saga-gun, Saga Prefecture. It is a simple hot spring with a temperature of 36-42°C. It is about a 50-minute bus ride from Saga Station on the Nagasaki Main Line. It is located in the southern part of the Sefuri Mountains, in a mountain basin upstream of the Kase River (Kawakami River), where the Kaino River joins. The main springs are Kakurei, Fuji, and Eiryu, and in the late Edo period, a village headman from Furuyu village dug an old spring outlet after seeing a crane playing in the water, and it was also called Kakurei Onsen. It is said to be effective against rheumatism, neuralgia, and external injuries. Sculpins live in the mountain stream, and you can enjoy wild vegetables and river fish dishes.

佐賀県佐賀郡富士町にある温泉。単純泉，36～42℃。長崎本線佐賀駅からバスで約50分。脊振（せふり）山地南部，嘉瀬（かせ）川(川上川)上流の山間盆地，貝野川が合流する所にある。主要泉源に鶴霊（かくれい），富士，英竜などがあり，江戸後期，古湯村の庄屋が水にツルの遊ぶのをみて古い泉口を掘りあて，鶴霊温泉ともよんだという。リウマチや神経痛，外傷などに効能があるという。渓流にはカジカが生息し，山菜や川魚料理が楽しめる。
