Christoph Friedrich Blumhardt

German pastor. Son of JC Blumhardt. Born in Mettlingen, he graduated from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Tübingen. He assisted his father in his work in Bad Boll from 1869, but after his father's death in 1880, he began to walk his own path. From around 1888, he became extremely critical of the church of the time, but from around 1896, he began to preach God's love for all human beings, and as a result, he joined the then German Social Democratic Party in 1999. The following year, in 1900, he served as a state councillor for the party.

Blumhardt [Johann Christoph Blumhardt]

1805‐80
German Protestant pastor. Father of CF Blumhardt. Graduated from the Theology Department of the University of Tübingen, he served in various churches before becoming pastor of the Mettlingen church. Through the struggle with illness of a member of this church, Gottliebin Dittus, and his healing, he gained the conviction that "Jesus is the victor," and a unique religious awakening movement was started around the church. In 1952 he moved to Bad Boll, where he ran a sanatorium and became a friend to the physically and mentally ill.

ドイツの牧師。J.C.ブルムハルトの子。メットリンゲンに生まれ，チュービンゲン大学神学部を卒業。1869年以来バート･ボルで父の活動を助けていたが，80年父の死後，独自の道を歩みはじめる。88年ころから当時の教会に対して，きわめて激しい批判的姿勢を示すが，一方96年ころから，人間全体に対する神の愛を説き，その帰結として99年に当時のドイツ社会民主党に入党。翌1900年には，同党選出の州議会議員として活動する。

ブルムハルト【Johann Christoph Blumhardt】

ドイツのプロテスタント教会牧師。C.F.ブルムハルトの父。チュービンゲン大学神学部を卒業，各地の教会で働いた後，メットリンゲン教会の牧師となる。この教会の会員ゴットリービン･ディートゥスGottliebin Dittusの病気との闘いとその治癒を通じて，〈イエスは勝利者〉という確信を与えられ，その教会を中心として，独特な信仰覚醒運動が起こる。52年にバート･ボルに移り，そこの療養所を経営し，身体的･精神的な病者の友となる。
