Around 1880-1934
A modern Iranian revolutionary poet. He gained immense popularity for his tasnikh-style enka poetry, which he composed on the theme of Iranian national liberation. His poems, such as "Message of Liberation" and "Hurrah!", were beloved during the Iranian Constitutional Revolution. During World War I, he participated in the pro-Ottoman national movement and went into exile in Istanbul. In 1921, he supported the revolutionary government in Khorasan, and used his poetry to inspire the advance on Tehran. [Kagaya Hiroshi]

現代イランの革命詩人。イランの民族解放をテーマに，タスニーフとよばれる演歌調で作詩作曲して非常な人気を集めた。イラン立憲革命期には，〈解放のメッセージ〉〈万歳〉などの詩が愛唱された。第1次大戦中，親オスマン帝国の民族運動に参加し，イスタンブールに亡命した。1921年ホラーサーンの革命政権を支持し，テヘラン進撃をその詩によって鼓舞した。【加賀谷寛】
