The third Tsar of the Romanov dynasty of Russia. Reigned from 1676 to 1682. In Russian history, he is usually called Tsar Fyodor without the "III" part. He was the eldest son of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. During his reign, he implemented policies such as strengthening tax collection by introducing a household tax (1679), reforming the military system, and abolishing the "family system" of government posts (1682), which prioritized family background over talent or achievement. He also fought against Turkey after Turkey's invasion of Ukraine (1676-81), and gained control of Ukraine on the left bank of the Dnieper River.

ロシアのロマノフ朝第3代皇帝。在位1676‐82年。ロシア史では通常，3世をつけず，皇帝フョードルと呼ぶ。皇帝アレクセイ･ミハイロビチの長男。治世中，戸別税の導入による徴税強化(1679)，軍制改革，才能や功績よりも家柄を尊重して官職につける〈門地制〉の廃止(1682)などの政策がとられた。またトルコがウクライナに侵攻したのを機にトルコと戦いを交え(1676‐81)，ドニエプル川左岸のウクライナを獲得した。
