?-? A monk from the Nara period.
His mother was the daughter of Shiraino Yoroshi. In 733, he traveled to Tang (China) with Ei'ei to seek a teacher of the precepts. He encouraged Dosen to come to Japan, and in 753, Ganjin came to Japan, and returned to Japan. He lived at Todaiji Temple, and in 759, he petitioned the shogun to plant fruit trees along the roadside to make it easier for travelers. His Buddhist name is also known as Gyogyo.

母は白猪(しらいの)与呂志の娘。天平(てんぴょう)5年(733)戒律の師をまねくため栄叡(えいえい)とともに唐(中国)にわたる。道璿(どうせん)に来日をすすめて日本におくり,天平勝宝5年(753)鑑真(がんじん)の来日を実現して帰国。東大寺に住し,天平宝字3年(759)旅人の便をはかるため路傍に果樹をうえるように上奏した。法名は業行とも。
