〘Noun〙① The name of one of the twelve notes in gagaku music. It corresponds to the G sharp in Western music. [Kameda Hongegakushu (mid- to late Muromachi period)]② (Generally known as a hanging bell, as it is said to have been made by the Oo clan in an old Chinese legend. Also, a small gong used in Buddhist chants. Gong and drum. ※Wakan Roei (around 1018), Part 2 "The Oo bell rings at night, its sound permeating the dark sky (Tsujiraka)."③ Another name for the fifth month of the lunar calendar.
