King of Aragon (reigned 1479-1516). He married Princess Isabella of Castile, and after Isabella ascended to the throne, he became King of Castile (reigned 1474-1504) and was called Ferdinand V. He also served as King of Sicily and Naples. In 1492, he occupied Granada, completed the recovery of the country (the Reconquista War), established a national system, and built the foundations of the absolute monarchy in Spain.
