Formerly the estate of the Minister of the Left, Fujiwara no Nakahira, it was called Ishigakikamisho, but in 992 (Shoreki 3), Taira no Korenaka, the Right Minister, acquired it, and in 1001 (Choho 3), donated it to Shirakawa-ji Kita-in (later Jakuraku-ji).
