A former town in Ena County, southeastern Gifu Prefecture. The central Iwamura Village is located in a small basin in the Tono Mountains and developed as a castle town. The Akechi Railway runs from Ena City. Agriculture, silk reeling, and lumbering are thriving, and agar is a specialty of the town. In October 2004, it was incorporated into Ena City along with Yamaoka Town, Akechi Town, Kamiyahagi Town, and Kushihara Village in Ena County. 34.36 km2 . 5,621 people (2003).
