Also called particleboard, chipboard, and dry fiberboard. A type of recycled wood. A board made by hot pressing and molding small pieces of wood with a binder. It is free of cracks, warping, and knots, and has uniform material properties, making it possible to mass-produce and produce large-area boards. It also has excellent weather resistance, heat insulation, sound insulation, impact resistance, and fire resistance. Its quality is determined by the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). 70% of the raw materials are imported, with the majority being leftover materials from plywood factories and other factories, and in recent years, construction waste has also been used. Depending on the cross-sectional structure, it is classified into two types: single-ply boards, in which the size of the wood pieces is uniform on the surface, core, and back, and outer-ply boards, which are rough in the center and gradually become denser toward the surface or back. It has a wide range of uses, including furniture, interior materials for buildings, and audio equipment.

削片板，チップボード，乾式繊維板ともいう。再生木材の一種。木材の小片を結合材で熱圧，成形した板。割れ，そり，節がなく，材質が均一で大量生産や大面積の板の生産が可能。耐候，断熱，遮音，耐衝撃，防火にもすぐれている。品質は日本工業規格 (JIS) で定められている。原料は 70%が輸入材で大半が合板工場などの工場残材を利用，また近年は建築廃材も利用されている。断面構造により，表面，芯，裏面ともに木片の大きさが均一な単層ボードと，中心は粗く表面または裏面に向って順次緻密になっている外層ボードに2分類される。家具，建築物の内装材，音響器具材など用途は広い。
