Amazake seller - Amazakeuri

Japanese: 甘酒売 - あまざけうり

〘Noun〙 The act of selling amazake (sweet sake). Also, the person who sells it. It has been around since the Muromachi period, but it wasn't until the early modern period that it became widely sold as a drink for the common people. A peddler would carry a box in front with teacups and trays , a hanging lantern hanging from it, and a box in the back with a kettle of amazake on a pole.
