Arm grass - Kainagusa

...The stem is thin and rises from a slightly horizontal base, bending at the nodes. The bent shape of the stem resembles a jointed arm, hence the name Kainagasa (arm grass) or Ashii (leg rush). The stem branches out well and is 30-40cm long, but the rising part is only 10-30cm tall.
