A town in Sorachi County, Hokkaido. It is located in the low-lying Horomui Plains, sandwiched between the Yubari River and the Ebetsu River, both tributaries of the Ishikari River. Rice fields were opened up through large-scale repairs to the lower reaches of the Yubari River and the construction of drainage ditches. 81.36 km2 . 8,778 people (2010).
