In his co-authored work, Industry (1816-18), he advocated the realization of an exploitative industrial society through the union of working people, under the slogan, "All by Industry, All for Industry." In The Organizer (1819) and The Industrial System (1821-22), he defined the modern world as a "world turned upside down," and drew up a blueprint for an industrial society as a major transformation. He attempted suicide after failing to survive, and in his co-authored work with A.
