Born on October 10, 1777. A samurai of the Yoshida clan in Mikawa (Aichi Prefecture). He studied waka poetry under Motoori Ohira and Confucianism under Ota Kinjo, and in 1811 became a professor at the clan school Jishukan. He passed away on August 6, 1814 at the age of 69.
