William II - William

Japanese: ウィリアム[2世] - ウィリアム
William II - William
The second Norman king of England (reigned 1087-1100). The third son of William I, the Conqueror. He often fought with his brother Robert, Duke of Normandy, for the English throne, invaded Scotland to win the allegiance of Malcolm III, and fought against and exiled Archbishop Anselm of Canterbury. He was nicknamed "Red Face" for his rough and strict rule, and was not well-received by the people. He was shot by a bow and arrow while hunting and died, but there is also a theory that he was assassinated.
