The Humber is a river that originates in the southern foot of the Pennine Mountains in southern England, curves sharply as it flows northeast, joins the River Ouse 24km west of Hull, and flows into the North Sea as the River Humber. Cities along its coast include Derby, Stoke-on-Trent, and Nottingham, and ocean-going ships can travel as far as Gainsborough. Its total length is 273km.
