〘noun〙① To see through something. *Shogaku Shogaku (1881) (translated by Matsumura Ninzo) "Looking through the flowing river, one can see the deep blue color at the bottom." ② In psychology, the act of sensing things that cannot be known through the normal senses, such as distant events or hidden objects. Said to be the result of psychic powers. *Rakubai-shu (Collection of Falling Plums) (1901) (Shimazaki Toson) "The Seven Days of Leisure, the New Tea on Tuesday, "It is clear to their minds that they can see through it." ③ A method of diagnosis in which X-rays are irradiated onto the human body, transmitted through it, and then transferred to a fluorescent screen, which can then be observed with the naked eye.
