...The Oi River, which merges with the Sumata River, the largest tributary north of Senzu, flows south through the Kawane region, and several river terraces have developed along the river course, on which small settlements and tea fields for the famous Kawane tea grow. The river also has significant meandering sections, such as the aforementioned Sessokyo and Sumatakyo, between Tashiro and Tokuyama in the main stream, and between Shiogo and Sasamado (Uyama Nanamagari), which are known as scenic spots.
