Enkyu Gyoki

...There has long been a theory that the Emperor had the intention of ruling as an innkeeper after abdicating, but no conclusion has yet been reached. The Emperor excelled in scholarship and wrote the Gosanjo Tenno Goki (Enkyu Goki), but only fragments remain. His tomb is Enso-ji Tomb (Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City).
