Camau Peninsula - Camau Peninsula (English spelling)

Japanese: カマウ半島 - カマウはんとう(英語表記)Camau Peninsula
Camau Peninsula - Camau Peninsula (English spelling)
This region occupies the southwestern part of the Mekong Delta at the southern tip of Vietnam. It can be roughly considered to be west of a line connecting La Chi Gia on the Gulf of Siam and Binh Loi in the southern part of the delta. The Mekong Delta is subject to significant alluvial activity, with the delta now 350 km wide and growing at a rate of 60-80 m per year. Most of the Ca Mau Peninsula is below 2 m above sea level, and Ca Mau Cape at the southwestern tip is low and covered with trees, with shallow waters around the cape, so the Sailing Directions states that "ships going around the cape should be at least 12 nautical miles away."
