This is a viral infectious disease that affects dogs and is transmitted by direct and indirect contact. The incubation period is 2-5 days, and initially the dog develops a high fever of over 40°C, which quickly subsides, and after 2-3 days of normal temperature the dog develops a fever again, showing a saddle-shaped fever. Dogs of all ages can be affected, but the younger the dog the more likely it is to be seriously ill. In the acute severe form, a puppy that was lively in the morning becomes collapsed by the afternoon and dies by evening, and there is often no time to treat it. General symptoms are loss of appetite and loss of energy, and if there are no complications there are no other special symptoms, but in severe cases vomiting and bloody stools accompanied by abdominal pain may occur.
